Atlanta, March 29, 2008....The first Mind Body Health Fair sponsored by the American Psychological & Georgia Psychological Associations was located in Perimeter Mall between Dillard's & the Food Court.

Mall Advertising. Along with marquee advertising, Mind Body Health banners were hung throughout the mall with table tents on each table in the food court.

Mind Body Health Fair Materials. Fact sheets on heart disease, obesity, stress, workplace stress; magnets, T-shirts and give-aways provided by sponsors/exhiibitors were handed out to attendees.

Volunteers organize for the day. Over 50 Georgia psychologists volunteered to present workshops, demonstrations, exhibit, market the event and help with registration throughout the day.
Registration areas were located in several locations at the event. Attendees fill out Stress Surveys in time to attend a mini-workshop. All attendees were given event bags fill with event materials, give-aways from mall stores and exhibitors and a T-Shirt.
Volunteers. Georgia Psychologists, American/Georgia Psychological Association/Vanguard Communications staff, family and friends participate in educating the public on how stress affects the Mind and Body.

Cooking Tips for the Stress Eater and the Comfort Eater featuring easy, healthful cooking techniques hosted by a Sur La Table Chef and Dr. Linda Buchanan. Attendees learn to understand hunger and feeding both the body and soul.
Enhancing Self-Image featuring on-stage demonstrations hosted by bluemercury apothecary and spa
Dancing for Disease Prevention and Stress Relief. Want a really great stress buster? Dance has been used for milleniums to bring people together and help them have a good time. Demonstrations included group dance by Dr. Yvonne Pennington, ballroom dance by Tango Rio and belly dancing by Ms. Tyler Moss.
