Full Title: Enhancing Clinical Competence in Military Culture and Terminology: Preparation for Inclusion on STAR Behavioral Health Providers Registry

After completing this workshop, participants will be able to join an online registry of clinicians trained to work with military and veteran populations. This workshop is the first tier of three; participants will be eligible to enroll in Tiers 2 and 3, which offer more specialized training in evidence-based treatments with, and particular challenges facing, military populations. Participants will thus be more prepared to treat a large and growing segment of Georgia’s residents.

By attending this Tier One training, you’ll be eligible to attend the trainers' Tier Two training in the future, which focuses on challenges and difficulties that may present and are often associated with the military. Topics covered in Tier Two are traumatic brain injury, substance abuse, military sexual trauma, sleep disorders, and ethical issues. Tiers One and Two are also prerequisites for Tier Three, which provides instruction in evidence-based treatments for PTSD. Tiers Two and Three are free of charge. There will be a Tier Three in Prolonged Exposure on October 8 and 9, 2014. http://starproviders.org/providers/states/georgia/training-dates-locations-page-id-16
