This workshop will summarize previous CE discussions on TMS, (what is is, how it works, who may benefit), and also provide an update on newer devices and advances in the application of TMS to help treat a growing number of psychiatric and neurologic disorders.

CE Hours: 3 (Psychopharmacology)

Learning Objectives:

  1. Summarize the technology, application and supportive evidence for TMS.
  2. Describe advances in TMS in recent years with newer devices.
  3. Discuss the growing number of applications for TMS.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Brian Teliho is a Board Certified psychiatrist who has worked at the forefront of TMS therapy in the Southeast. As Medical Director for the Atlanta Center for TMS, he has treated more patients with this novel therapy than any other psychiatrist in the city. He has lectured throughout the South on TMS, teaching psychiatrists and other mental health professionals about the many benefits this treatment has to offer.

Dr. Teliho received his medical degree from the State University of New York's Health Science Center in Syracuse before completing his residency training at Emory University School of Medicine, where he also served as Psychiatric Chief Resident of Grady Memorial Hospital. He continues an affiliation with Emory as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry.
