Workshop Title: Coaching High-Flyers: An Integrated Approach for Developing the Mindset of Grit and Resilience in Leaders and Organizations

Workshop Description:

Organizations need to develop new ways to deal with stress, adversity, and improve their skills for survival.  At the individual level, the topics of Grit and Resilience have gained traction in the research literature. The workshop provides an integrated approach to developing organizational effectiveness skills by 1) identifying readiness for change and current levels of resilience; 2) identifying leadership skills and behaviors that promote grit and resilience;  3) installing tools throughout the organization that are sustainable, promote survival, and enable the organization to thrive; 4) providing a model for development, preparation and succession within the organization that can navigate the new global VUCA world; and 5) providing a framework to understand and account for individual differences in world views and behavioral styles.

Learning Objectives

  1. The participants will be able to apply the concepts of Grit and Resilience in their psychological practice.
  2. The participants will be able to assess the readiness for change and the levels of resistance within the organization.
  3. The participants will be able to install and utilize a model of leadership development within their client organizations to increase resilience and grit.
  4. The participants will be able to incorporate methods that promote diversity as a useful tool that facilitates grit and resilience within the organization.
