GPA Wins the 2016 Outstanding Diversity Program Award

The 2016 APA State Leadership delegation included: Dr. Kensa Gunter, Diversity Delegate; Dr. Michael Johns, President-Elect; Dr. Jennifer Kelly, Federal Advocacy Coordinator; Dr. Kip Matthews, Public Education Coordinator; Dr. V. Gayle Spears, President; and Ms. Martha Turner-Quest, Executive Director. Dr. Linda Campbell was also present as an APA BOD member. The 2016 conference theme, Expanding the Practice Spectrum, focused on the skills and advocacy needed to support the entire range of traditional and alternative practice models.
GPA submitted materials to compete in many prestigious distinctions for this year's SLC and won the 2016 Award: Outstanding Diversity Program. Congratulations to the Diversity Directorate and its leaders: Dr. Erin Aholt, Committee on Gender and Sexual Diversity Chair; Dr. Katie Davino, Committee on Women and Girls Chair; Dr. Decia Dixon Treasurer and portfolio manager, Dr. Greer Ezrine, Committee on Family and Children and Dr. Deauna Webb, Committee on Ethnic and Minority Affairs.
