Funding the Future of Psychology and a Psychologically Healthy Georgia
The Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) takes great pride in being the preeminent resource and advocate for Georgia psychologists. GPA is the only state organization that represents and advances the interests of psychologists in Georgia.
Similar to GPA, the Georgia Psychological Association Foundation (Foundation) has been re-energized with the purpose to support education and research to advance the skills of psychologists and psychology students, and contribute to the psychological health and well-being of the public throughout the state of Georgia. Some of the ways in which The Foundation continues to meet its purpose by supporting the Student Poster Session at the GPA 2016 Annual Meeting and the Mind Body Health Fair at the Capitol in 2017. The Foundation also supports participation at health fairs throughout Metro Atlanta and assists in providing resources to various community organizations.
Friends of the Foundation Campaign
When you become a ‘Friend of the Foundation,’ your gift of $100 or more primarily supports the Foundation’s Leadership Academy. The academy prepares future leaders in the profession of psychology. The GPA Leadership Academy aims train a select group of GPA members on leadership principles and techniques. Upon completion of the workshop series and retreat, participants will have the necessary tools and training to allow them to assume leadership roles in GPA and other non-profit organizations.
You may also designate your contribution as unrestricted, allowing the Board to allocate the contribution where the need is the greatest.
