Dr. Victor Gonzalez (Amerigroup Psychologist Reviewer) and Bhavini Solanki-Vasan (Amerigroup Behavioral Health Services Director)

 

Ms. Solanki-Vasan is the Behavioral Health lead for Amerigroup Georgia.  In this role, she is responsible for managing the various levels of care in Behavioral Health, collaborating with Behavioral Health providers, advocates, and state partners to maintain quality outcomes and coordination of care.  Ms. Solanki-Vasan has also been an Initiative Owner for several initiatives in the WAVE program for health plan and enterprise enhancements.  Ms. Solanki-Vasan earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, located in Houston, Texas, and a Master’s in Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas, Tyler campus.  Ms. Solanki-Vasan is a trained Lead Six Sigma Black Belt.

 

 

 

Dr. Victor Gonzalez, Jr. is a licensed psychologist with 25 years of mental health experience working directly with children, adolescents, and families, providing cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and conducting psychological evaluations. His experience includes being the clinical director of psychological services at the Devereux Georgia Treatment Network for nine years. He also served as a regional school Psychologist for the Imagine Schools System for four years. Dr. Gonzalez Jr. has extensive experience with posttraumatic stress disorder, child physical and sexual abuse, sexual deviation/offending behaviors, pain and stress management, anxiety, substance abuse, relational issues, behavior problems and learning disorders.
