  Workshop Description: This will be a Power-point based presentation for one hour available on-line for those who will be volunteering to provide psychoeducational support for healthcare professions. (Introductory)     Learning Objectives: Understand the impact of early childhood trauma Understand Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue and Burnout Be able to identify 4 of the 8 components of Psychological First Aid Identify the special challenges for Healthcare Professionals Identify at least one aspect of Post-Traumatic Growth Identify at least 2 Positive Psychology Strategies  
About the Presenter: Betsy Gard, PhD   Dr. Gard is past president of the Georgia Psychological Association and a Board member of the Georgia Psychological Foundation. She is an Adjunct Professor at the Emory University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Gard is a Trainer for the Services for the Armed Forces, has been a consultant at the International Rescue Services and has been a Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Responder for over 25 years. She has been a member of2 Task Forces operating out of multiple divisions of the American Psychological Association to aid and assist during the COVID Pandemic.
