Fellow Psychologists,

You are receiving this email because the  Public Education Committee of GPA needs your assistance!

On Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, the PEC is organizing a Georgia Psychological Association booth at the Atlanta Science Festival at Piedmont Park. Here is a link to the festival’s website:

We need as many GPA members as we can get to help with the booth at Piedmont Park. We will be offering small “psychological” activities for children and giving away brochures about various things psychologists do and the disorders some of us treat to the adults who visit our booth. It will be a great day to interact with the public and let the thousands of people who attend the event know more about what psychologists actually do.

Please email me directly at with your availability to participate. The first 20 or so psychologists who participate will get to wear a really stylish blue GPA shirt. Just imagine how cool you will look in your blue shirt with the GPA logo.

I’m really hoping that GPA members come through and that many members who have never participated in a GPA event take the plunge and join us for this fun filled day of letting the people of Georgia know more about what psychologists do. Come on… don’t hesitate…. I guarantee you will not regret your decision to participate. I can say to a psychological certainty that you will have a fun time!

Once I hear back from all of you, I will send out an email to those participating about our future phone conference to organize the actual event.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
