Mary Ferdnandes Elected APAGS 2020 Chair

The American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) has elected GPA's own, Mary Fernandes, as their 2020 Chair-Elect. Mary is a clinical neuropsychology doctoral student at Georgia State University, and she previously served on the APAGS Science Committee and as campus representative and Board of Directors Liaison to the Georgia Psychological Association of Graduate Students (GPAGS). Her areas of focus in her role as Chair-Elect will include advocating for graduate student rights, positioning psychologists as scientific leaders, promoting leadership opportunities for underrepresented minorities, and addressing the student debt crisis.
