A Motivational Interviewing (MI) Coding Primer 

Virtual Workshop | CE: 2 Hours

Workshop Description:

This advanced interactive skills workshop is for Learners who have a strong foundation in motivational interviewing (MI) and are looking for an opportunity to go deeper in their understanding of MI-consistent practitioner language and behaviors. Learners will be introduced to Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI 4.2.1) behavioral coding. They will have the opportunity to establish beginner proficiency in coding by listening to audio files and transcripts from sessions.

Level: Advanced

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Explain how MI treatment integrity is established using MITI 4.2
  2. Practice MI coding using transcripts and audio files

About the Presenter:

 

Megan Benoit Ratcliff, PhD, MPH is a licensed clinical psychologist and behavioral
health consultant. She received her Masters in Public Health in Behavioral Science from Emory
University. She received her Doctorate from the University of Georgia with additional residency
and fellowship training at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, Children’s
Healthcare of Atlanta, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She joined the Motivational
Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) in 2014. She has facilitated trainings in Motivational
Interviewing for over ten years, with clients including United Way of Atlanta, Georgia
Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, and Children’s Healthcare of
Atlanta.


Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Karen Carroll via email (operations@gapsychology.org). A $35 cancellation fee will be retained for any cancellations prior to one week before the event. No refunds will be given within one week of the event.
