New CE Rules go into Effect Immediately - October 15, 2023 Dear GPA Members, This announcement is on behalf of the GPA Continuing Education Committee, to clarify changes to the CE requirements in those rules proposed to the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (BOE) in 2022. Effective October 15, 2023 these changes are in effect. These are posted on the website for the Rules and Regulations of the State of Georgia. While the changes proposed in 2022 impact several areas of the Board Rules, this e-mail is exclusive to CE. There are several significant changes to how CE will be categorized and what types of CE will be accepted. These changes go into effect immediately on October 15th, 2023, per the Rules and Regulations of the State of Georgia. To help you understand these changes, the CE committee of the Georgia Psychological Association has created the following infographics. * Please note that rules for licensure are established by theGeorgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (BOE). The licensing board and the Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) are separately entities. This summary is offered by the Continuing Education Committee of the GPA for informational purposes ONLY.
